The Health Care Centre (HCC), is operated by the Peers Village Management Association as a separate entity from the PVMA. It comprises 30 private rooms each with its own en-suite toilet and wash-hand basin. The HCC is geared to provide on-going long-term care to those who can no longer live independently or who are recovering from an illness or operation (it is not a hospital). Both village residents and non-residents are accommodated, however, residents are given preferential access to the HCC. When the Health Care Centre is operating at maximum capacity, preference will be given to the Residents who have been in the Village the longest. The resident’s rate is competitive with other similar retirement villages and well below that charged in private hospitals. The charge for accommodation in the HCC includes 24-Hour nursing care with 3 meals per day. The patient will remain under the supervision of his/her own doctor.
Currently (January 2020) we have rooms available, please contact Matron Klopper on 021 787 0204 for a quotation on the monthly tariff.
